It all comes down to this: Coco Gauff and Qinwen Zheng will compete for the title at the year-end WTA Finals in Saudi Arabia!
Coco Gauff dismantled World’s #1 Aryna Sabalenka on Friday in Riyadh to advance to her first WTA Finals appearance with a trophy at stake.
Qinwen Zheng did the same to Barbora Krejcikova winning the semifinal affair in straight-sets and the Chinese native is showing no signs of letting up.
I hope you have been enjoying my WTA Betting articles at BettingExpert over the course of this event because I have been banging out winners in droves!
I had Coco t cover the +3 spread against Sabalenka and the American did that and then some sweeping the Russian out of the semifinals. Sabalenka was making a third consecutive appearance in the semis of the year-end event and is still chasing the trophy despite clinching the #1 seed on the WTA Tour.
The lines are just becoming available at 3 PM on Friday afternoon ET.
Coco Gauff opened as the early favorite at -160 and the lines are already moving to -175 at 4PM and higher at certain book makers.
I am not going to spend any time discussing what has transpired to this point because you are either paying attention to the WTA Finals or you are just here for a pick or two to make for this final game in Saudi Arabia.
Every match starts in the first set and I can see nothing less than a 6 – 4 opening frame for this high-profile affair. Gauff and Sabalenka went into a first-set tie-break to put 13 games in the books to open the game and Coco broke the shit out of Sabalenka in the extra session.
If you have been reading my articles t BE, you know I questioned the effort that Sabalenka made against Rybakina in a pointless match that only drained her energy. Sabalenka had already clinched her way into the semifinal and after Rybakina won the first set Sabalenka didn’t want to just let it be and get out of dodge. Instead, the Russian #1 gave up in the third set which made even less sense!!
With a -110 on the Over 9.5 1st-set games, you can put that action on your card and start the day with your first cashed ticket for the WTA Finals.
The total for this match is listed at 22.5 which also tells you a tie-break would be necessary to come near that if someone sweeps their way to the title. I don’t see that happening but there is much more value on the Over 2.5 Sets prop.
That is one of my favorite calls to make and you know that if you follow my WTA tennis articles. I am not going to touch the 2.5 spread because that is a tough call to make and we already have two tickets to cash.
